Dean’s Welcome

It has been my pleasure to meet many alumni and friends in the U.S. and abroad since becoming the Simon School Dean in January 2004. What I’ve learned is that one key to a vital community and network is being able to communicate with you from campus and make it possible for graduates to find one another. It’s just as important for us to hear from you, as for you to hear from us.

To keep you apprised of School news, events and networking opportunities we need your most updated information (for both home and work) in the campus database. This is particularly important as we increasingly send newsletters, invitations and other notices via e-mail. By knowing how to reach you, we can do a better job of keeping you involved and connected.

There are a few ways you can let us know about changes to your contact details: by calling the Office of Alumni Relations and Development at (585) 275-7563, by emailing alumni@simon.rochester.edu, or by using the update form on the Alumni Online Community page of this web site. You’ll notice that the update form contains a section where you can indicate volunteer roles that are of interest to you. We welcome your assistance with interviewing prospective students, recruiting for jobs/internships at your companies, organizing regional activities or collecting their class notes.

In addition, we encourage you to look at the online job postings where we list positions requiring more experience than those for which you might recruit students. Please send any openings you may have (as Word attachments) for seasoned hires to alumni@simon.rochester.edu. Hire someone who has had the same solid business training as you!
