- About Simon
100% of the participants who completed the course recommended it be taught again at the Simon School. What follows are two of the many personal communications from students in last year's course.
Mr. Jensen
. . . Thank you for your leadership course at the University of Rochester. It was an incredible experience that has forever changed how I look at the possibilities in my life.
From a student perspective, this training was absolutely critical. I decided to go to business school to become a leader. As I have gone through my first year at Simon, my intentions for leadership have included implementing ideas such as incentives, decision rights, and financial prudence. Never though have I learned how to speak to my employees, how to listen, how to plan my day, or the values required to accomplish great things. Without the skills from this course, my ideas would have simply gone as far as I personally could take them. My ideas will now go as far as can be imagined. I can say without reservation that I will use the skills learned the past several days [in the Leadership Course] more than any other class in my future.

. . . I [want] to let you know how happy I am to have participated in the seminar. . . . This past week was a rewarding and certainly eye-opening experience that went far beyond any of my expectations. Not only do I feel that I will be an effective manager after Simon, I feel I will be a person of integrity in all aspects of my life starting from this point on. I applaud (or more appropriately "acknowledge") you for bringing the Landmark group to Simon and feel honored to have participated in a leadership seminar unlike one that exists in any MBA curriculum.
Thanks for having the foresight and desire to "open all of us up to the possibility" of such an occasion. Boy, it will be hard to use any other language for quite some time now...I look forward to seeing you again soon.
