Lecturer in Operations Management

Ms. Sweet is an information technology and professional services leader with over 20 years of experience in project management, product management and marketing, and several areas within information technology. She has specialized in information management, integration, and business intelligence disciplines. While working at IBM, she held a number of leadership roles with IBM Software group (product management and marketing), Systems Group, and IBM Global Services working with commercial clients.

She has contributed to a number of information technology and strategy plans for U.S. clients leading to the use of information for strategic advantage and operational improvements. This client base covered a breadth of industries, including financial services, banking, insurance, manufacturing, telecommunications and government. Prior to joining IBM, Sweet was a research analyst on a N.I.H. grant for New York State Health Research Inc. She is a Certified Project Management Professional and has spoken at industry conferences, customer councils and briefings.

Her experience also includes teaching at the secondary level. She is permanently certified by New York State to teach mathematics.
