Dan Gode

Gode, Dan

Dan Gode is a clinical associate professor of accounting, taxation and business law at New York University Stern School of Business. Professor Gode teaches courses in corporate financial reporting,  modeling, and taxes.

Professor Gode has been with NYU Stern for 12 years. He was voted as the “Professor of the Year” in 2002 and 2004 and received the Pedagogical Innovation Award in 2008. His primary research areas include financial analysis, valuation, and performance measurement. Professor Gode has published in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, and Review of Accounting Studies.

Professor Gode continually receives top evaluations at courses and seminars for his ability to present complex financial topics to corporations and financial institutions in an understandable, lively, and practical format. Dan is the co-founder of Almaris E-Learning Systems, which has developed the "Financial Accounting Tutor", a self-paced interactive software covering all topics in an MBA-level financial Accounting course and a comprehensive on-line learning system. Dan is also a consultant to several private equity groups and M&A groups regarding valuation models.
