Rochester, N.Y.―March 4, 2009―The Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester has recently partnered with the Peace Corps as part of that organization’s Fellows/U.S.A. program.
Returning Peace Corps volunteers receive up to $10,000 a year towards tuition to study at the Simon School. The Fellows/U.S.A. program works with more than 40 universities to offer this kind of financial assistance to its volunteers who pursue graduate studies in a variety of subject areas.
“We see this as win-win: Volunteers who have given of themselves in this way have earned a break in tuition, and they will bring their wide ranging experiences and leadership skills to our School, to the benefit of all,” says Dean Mark Zupan.
The Simon School has recently accelerated efforts to reach out to the military and other organizations to recruit students with leadership potential to earn their graduate business degree at the School.
Simon is world renowned for its distinctive economics-based, analytically-oriented, cross-functional approach to management education, intended to provide students with a coherent framework for understanding the way business is conducted around the globe. The highly-personalized, team-oriented Simon experience is designed to prepare students to navigate the challenges that arise in any business environment.
