EVENT: Third Workshop on Information Intensive Services

Rochester, N.Y.—April 28, 2009—Academics and practitioners in the field of information intensive services will gather for an all-day workshop titled “Innovation and Challenges in Professional and Other Information Intensive Services,” on May 15, 2009 at the Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester. The event, sponsored by the Simon School Center for Information Intensive Services, will focus on the current challenges and opportunities in professional and other information intensive services.

Executives from leading service industry innovating firms like I.B.M., Xerox, Paychex and The Sutherland Group will share their insights and experiences with academic researchers from top business schools. In the morning sessions, the industry representatives will discuss the advanced analytical techniques they are using every day in their businesses. In the afternoon sessions, the academics will present the latest research on topics such as service outsourcing contracts, managing quality and responsiveness in services, and advanced service pricing methods.
