For years, the accepted wisdom from top-tier MBA programs suggested that candidates must acquire four to six years of post-baccalaureate work experience to be competitive for full-time admission. The Simon School is leading the way among top MBA programs in an initiative to attract the best and the brightest students, regardless of whether you have a lengthy résumé. We actively recruit candidates with zero to three years work experience through our Early Leaders initiative.
Are you considering applying for full-time MBA study with limited full-time work experience? The perceived opportunity costs of joining an MBA program directly after college or within a short period thereafter are an important consideration. We therefore encourage you to review our student profiles, our Early Leaders brochure, the section on “The Simon MBA: Now vs. Later,” available scholarship opportunities, and admission requirements to learn more.
“Simon afforded me the opportunity to network with alums who connected me with my current employer. On the job, I have leveraged the leadership and educational skills developed while at Simon to solve complex business problems.”
