English Language & U.S. Culture: The Simon Advantage

The Simon School offers students an English Language & U.S. Culture program to international students that addresses language skills such as reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Participants in the English Language and U.S. Culture Program at the Simon School will have convenient access to program faculty, Simon administrative staff and other University personnel who will be happy to provide assistance as you settle into the Rochester community.

The program offers helpful advice in areas such as:

  • Housing
  • Furnishing your home
  • Buying or leasing a car
  • Banking
  • Health care options
  • Obtaining a driver’s license
  • Shopping
  • Child care

Course Offerings

ELUSC Course Dates

For students starting in September:

  • ELUSC A – Monday, June 22, 2009 – Friday, July 17, 2009 (4 weeks)
  • ELUSC B – Monday, July 27, 2009 – Friday, August 28, 2009 (5 weeks)

For students starting in January:

  • ELUSC C – Monday, October 12, 2009 – Thursday, December 3, 2009 (8 weeks)
