Ethan Williams' plan was to become a doctor until he realized during  his sophomore year at the College of Wooster in Ohio that biology and chemistry were not for him.

The Bexley, OH, native nixed the notion of a medical career in favor of business, and spent seven years working in that realm before returning to the classroom to study for his MBA on the River Campus.

Before coming to Simon, Ethan's experience included financial analysis at a boutique consulting firm in Washington, DC, investment banking at Banc of America Securities, and project management as a self-employed, independent contractor. He has been involved in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, banking, metals and mining, consumer goods, and real estate.

Ethan was drawn to Simon by its approach to education, including the School's size, but what helped seal the deal was a personal touch: a call from Simon Dean Mark Zupan.

"I discovered that there was a lot more I needed to learn in order to transition into the type of management roles that I hoped to one day have," Ethan says of  his decision to enroll at Simon. "I am interested in learning more about leadership development programs at a large manufacturing firm."
