Empowering women to succeed in business is a top priority at Simon. We’re a Forté Foundation partner and are also home to Simon Women in Business, an organization dedicated to supporting businesswomen in graduate school and beyond.

Our Women's Conference programming, in conjunction with Experience Simon Weekend, gives MBA candidates a taste of life at Simon and the chance to learn more about opportunities for women in business and how Simon is committed to their advancement through our affiliation with Forté Foundation.

Sheffali WelchSheffali Welch
COO, Head of Regional Strategy, GTB Americas, Deutsche Bank

Sheffali is the former chief operating officer and head of regional strategy for Deutsche Bank Global Transaction Banking in the Americas. She joined Deutsche Bank in September 2010; prior to GTB, Sheffali was head of global client strategy and analytics for the Institutional Clients Group, based in New York, where she was responsible for targeted strategic initiatives across Fixed Income Sales and Trading.

Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Sheffali worked for eight years at Citi, most recently as head of global strategy for the Citi Private Bank. During her tenure at Citi, she also served as chief of staff to the CFO of Citigroup during the financial crisis, where she managed finance initiatives and communications from the Office of the CFO. Other roles included head of business planning and analysis for Citi Alternative Investments and financial execution in Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions. Earlier in her career, Sheffali was a financial management associate at Citi in New York and London, and she worked for Booz Allen Hamilton in New York and GE Capital in various financial, operational, and analytical positions in Marketing and International Operations in the US and Brazil.

Sheffali received a BA from the University of Chicago and an MBA with honors from Simon Business School at the University of Rochester. When not working, she enjoys scuba diving, cooking, and traveling. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two children, ages 7 and 5.
