Full-time MS student writing a formula on a see-through window - 980 x 300

Finance Curriculum

Classes are taught by a faculty internationally known for financial expertise. The degree is offered to students with a completed bachelor's degree and a demonstrated quantitative aptitude.

Study Tracks

While an internship is not required for the STEM-designated Master’s in Finance program, and there is no guarantee of placement, we encourage students to consider the value that internships offer their graduate education.

Full-Time MS in Finance students have two available tracks for the completion of their studies:

  • 10-month program of study (non-internship track)
  • 17-month program of study (internship track)
    • Internships are not guaranteed - students choosing the option to extend their program will be eligible to seek an internship, but are not guaranteed placement in an internship

  • The program of study for the MSF degree has been designed as a lock-step program which meets all the requirements for a STEM certified program.
  • * Students who hold a CPA or have sufficient prior coursework in accountancy can petition to substitute ACC 401 Corporate Financial Accounting with ACC 423 Financial Reporting I in the fall term.
  • ** 17-month track
    • MSF students in the 17-month track will NOT enroll in FIN418 during their first fall term, resulting in a reduced load during their first fall (17 credits). They will complete FIN418 Financial Modeling during the following fall term.
