Program Format

The Part-Time Medical Management Program is designed to fit the schedules of busy working professionals. Students typically take two courses per quarter for four quarters (one year), September through August.

One of the courses meets one evening each week, with the second one meeting one weekend per month. In addition to class time, students should plan on spending 15 to 20 hours per week on study and assignments.

During their fifth quarter of study, students do not attend classes, but complete their degree requirements with a six-credit team project. The project is on a topic chosen with input from the senior leadership at the team’s organization and Simon program directors.

The curriculum is presented in a format that delivers core business material while simultaneously applying that material to the health care industry. This is accomplished through the pairing of Simon Business School core courses with health sciences management courses that develop applications of the core material.
