- About Simon
The intellectual foundations of the Simon School, particularly in the areas of agency theory and organizational economics, have much to say about the central issues of health care management. Our newly-formed Institute for Health Care Management will reach out to the business community in an ongoing effort to contribute to the dialogue on contemporary health care management issues.
Comprising more than 15% of the U.S. economy, the healthcare industry presents a unique combination of challenges and opportunities to the next generation of business leaders. The health care industry currently demands a wide range of managerial expertise that includes managing technical change in the biotech, pharmaceutical and medical device industries, ensuring clinical quality and overseeing the strategic and financial foundations of the health delivery system.
