Academic Advantage

Simon is the place where “Thinkers Become Leaders.” At Simon, you have the opportunity to learn from world class scholars in a small intimate setting, as Simon is the smallest of the top-ranked business schools. No particular undergraduate major or minimum number of work years of work experience is necessary to get full value of Simon education.

Economics-Based Approach

A Simon School education is transformative, focused on providing students the latest theories in the science of management and on teaching our students on how to effectively use the theories in practical business situations. The common language of economics allows students to share ideas and solve problems based on mutually understood methods. You will learn that organizational problems cross all areas of the organization and begin to view these issues from numerous vantage points. Our students are taught a three step approach, called F.A.Ct. ―  Frame-Analyze-Communicate― to think through business problems rather than just recall the latest business cases and solutions.

Innovative Faculty

The faculty and the doctoral students at Simon provide the intellectual core of the Simon School. They are among the most innovative and productive researchers among business school faculty. Many of them are on editorial boards of top business journals. The top journal in Finance (the Journal of Financial Economics) and in accounting (the Journal of Accounting and Economics) are published at the Simon School. Alumni of the Simon doctoral program are leading professors at top schools such as the business schools at Harvard University, MIT, University of Pennsylvania  and the University of Chicago.
