Rochester has pro teams in almost every sport as well as top facilities for fans who want to go see a game live. We have more golf holes per capita than any other industrial city in the northeast. In addition, the annual Stonehurst Capital Regatta takes place in October right past the River Campus on the Genesee River. This popular event draws teams from colleges across North America.
The City of Rochester offers parks, biking and hiking trails along the Erie Canal. The Finger Lakes area is less than an hour’s drive from Rochester, with skiing, hiking, canoeing, swimming, and more, while nearby Bristol Mountain is popular with skiers. The Adirondack Mountains are about 150 miles from Rochester, and Letchworth State Park is even closer to home.
