Samuel Ogie is a Senior Lecturer and the Faculty Director of Simon’s Medical Management Program. The Medical Management program is a 16-month MS program designed to provide hospital administrators, clinicians, and researchers with management tools and a detailed understanding of the key business issues that confront health care providers. As Faculty Director, he provides program information to prospective students and employers, counsels students on course selection and career development, and assists in curriculum development. Samuel teaches in the undergraduate, Medical Management, and the MBA programs. His teaching focuses on managerial economics, health economics, health care strategy, strategy and business plan development and financial planning for health care.

Prior to joining the Simon School, Samuel was a Senior Consultant with Mitretek Healthcare. Over the course of his career in health care consulting, Samuel gained experience in an array of engagements including strategic planning, service line portfolio planning, affiliation planning, and strategic financial planning. Among the analyses Samuel developed for clients are financial models (including financial capability and pro forma statements), internal and market assessments, demand projections, and evaluation models for affiliation partners and service line focus.

Samuel earned his MBA from Simon Business School at the University of Rochester and his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (the Business Major Honor Society), Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), and Pi Tau Sigma (Mechanical Engineering Honor Society).
